Ask any HR professional about their company’s HR Model and you are likely to hear, “Our HR function is undergoing a transformation.”  The rationale behind the volume of HR transformations is, in part, due to growing specializations like HR Analytics and Insights, Organizational Design, Employee Experience, and an evolving role of an HRBP.  Further, advancements in HCM Software allows HR and business leaders to have increased access to data, dashboards, and self-service transactions.   This working group will discuss the role of HR-for-HR within these more complex HR organizations, as well as best practices in leading multi-year HR transformations and developing HR talent.
Issues we will explore include:

  • New trends in HR organization design;
  • Portfolio planning centers of excellence activity;
  • Best practices in leading multi-year HR transformations;
  • Current practices in developing HR talent.

In preparation for the meeting, please spend some time reflecting on your own personal experiences in the above areas. During the meeting, we will spend time talking about each of the areas as well as others that are identified through the course of our conversations together.

In addition, we welcome your input. If there are other specific issues you would like to discuss, please send them prior to the session to Beth Flynn-Ferry or Jo Hagin. We and our host, Workday, look forward to seeing you in California.

This working group will run from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM with a continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9:00am and a working lunch. The session is free of charge to CAHRS partner firms, but participation is limited to no more than twenty-five attendees.
