Technological advancements, demographic trends, and socioeconomic shifts, among other factors, are impacting the workplace and creating new challenges and opportunities for the HR function.  Whereas a great deal of attention has been focused on the evolving role of the Chief HR Officer, much less is known about how the future of work may impact other critical HR leadership positions.  Accordingly, the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) has embarked on a yearlong project aimed at understanding how the changing nature of work may impact two important HR roles: Division Vice President of HR (i.e., Division Generalist, HRBP Lead) and HR Center of Excellence Lead.

In this webcast, Brad Bell, Professor, Human Resources and Director, ILR Executive Education, ILR School, Cornell University and Amelia Tsui, CAHRS Research Assistant, will provide an update on the project, including discussing the current capability maps for these two roles and examining changes that are projected over the next 5 years given current and emerging workplace trends.  In addition, the webcast will serve as an opportunity to gather additional feedback and input from participants, which will help inform the project going forward.
